I still don’t like Thanksgiving, but I’ll take any excuse to dress up. And by dress up, I mean an excuse to wear my OTK boots. Looking at this now, I will say I wore a scarily similar outfit last year for Thanksgiving. I like to think that goes to show how wonderful of a combo a shift dress and OTK boots is for Thanksgiving, though.
Plus, doesn’t this orange dress just scream autumn!? I saw it on AE’s site and knew I had to order it just for Thanksgiving.
I actually took these photos about a month ago so I wouldn’t be scrambling to get cute photos in my outfit on Thanksgiving. We love a prepared sister.
While I may not like Thanksgiving food, or how commercialized it is, I am so grateful to live close to my family and be able to see this. This year I’ll actually be able to go to two separate Thanksgivings and maybe even a Friendsgiving!! Plus, I’ll totally get my money’s worth for this dress.
Which reminds me, I need to iron it before Thanksgiving next Thursday. Anyone else always put off ironing? I always wait to rack up a huge pile of clothes to do it, but then the pile is so big that I don’t want anything to do with it. Plus, I’m awful at ironing. Somehow the clothing still ends up with creases and weird light spots? No idea. Okay, rant over
Hope this post gave you some Thanksgiving outfit inspo! Remember, dresses like this allow you to eat as much as you want without having to worry about unbuttoning your pants. Just saying.
